Chat GBT, Fashionable Attorney At Law?

With the evolution of Chat GBT comes an innate question: can AI do my job for me?

For lawyers, and for lawyers seeking perfect style, the answer — at least for now — is thankfully “No.”

As an attorney, your human brain, with all its experiences, is your biggest asset. How you analyze each set of facts against the law and how you interact with clients, opposing counsel, the judge, and the jury, are all unique to you. Your success hinges on your creativity, your ability to think on your feet, and your interpersonal communication skills. So at least for now, AI cannot replace your contributions to the legal profession.

The same is true for style tips. I have been dying to know what AI would suggest, so I typed the following question into Chat GBT: “I am a 35-year-old attorney in Colorado. What should I wear to the office each day?”

The response was generic and unmistakably male.

The tips were fairly generic, providing some parameters for outfits but nothing specific. The response also mentioned ties, slacks, pocket squares and cuff links.

I followed up by asking if Chat GBT had assumed I am a male. Chat GBT apologized profusely and offered the same generic tips, this time with no clear gender bias.

In the end, this exercise showed me that there’s no replacement for the human experience when it comes to style advice.
